MUSIK: Simple Minds – Don’t you (forget about me)

Richtung Pop, aber ein schöner Song: Simple Minds mit Don’t you (forget about me): „Rain keeps falling down!“ Oder wie heißt es am Ende so schön: „La-la-la-laha, la-la-la-laha, laa laa laa, laa laa laa, lala – lala!“

Vor allem ist es wieder einmal unglaublich zu sehen, wie  ein einzelner Mann, Sänger und Mitgründer der Simple Minds Jim Kerr, einer ihn anhimmelnden, tobenden, tosenden, begeisterten, mitkreischenden, mitklatschenden, mitsingenden und wogenden Menschenmenge gegenübersteht, über ihr schwebt – und es ruhig aushält.

Wie im richtigen Leben, wir kennen es ja alle! 1985 gelang den Simple Minds mit diesem Song (aus dem Film Der Frühstücksclub) der internationale Durchbruch. Den Namen Simple Minds entlehnte die Band einer Textzeile des David-Bowie-Songs The Jean Genie („He’s So Simple Minded He Can’t Drive His Module“). Es ist mein Lebenssong, Freunde wissen es!
